Padres vs Dodgers — June 2026
3-Game Home Series at Petco Park · June 26 (Fri) · 27 (Sat) · 28 (Sun)
There is no better week of Padres baseball to catch in June than a Dodgers series at Petco Park. Los Angeles is the perennial rival, the perennial frontrunner, and a visiting fanbase that fills the park with energy from both sides of the aisle. Three home games to close the week: Friday evening, Saturday late afternoon, and Sunday afternoon with KidsFest. Petco Park itself is the argument for going — downtown San Diego, a view of the city skyline from the upper deck, and the Park in the Park beyond the outfield wall for a more laid-back experience.

Petco Park Tips
Petco Park is walkable from much of downtown — the Gaslamp Quarter, East Village, and Horton Plaza are all within 10–15 minutes on foot. The Park in the Park, the open lawn area beyond the left-field wall, is a great call if you're bringing kids or want a more relaxed vibe with food and a view of the game. Sunday's KidsFest adds extra family activities around the ballpark before and during the game. Go on Friday for atmosphere. Go on Sunday if you have kids.
Friday Night Pick
Best atmosphere of the three games. Dodgers fans travel well — the park has energy from the first pitch. 6:40 PM start gives you time for dinner in the Gaslamp first.
Sunday Family Pick
1:10 PM KidsFest matinee — bounce houses, face painters, and inflatables in Gallagher Square before game time. Done by 4 PM with the evening free.
