North Park Music Fest 2026

40+ Acts. 10+ Venues. One Walkable Neighborhood. Saturday, June 6.

Here's the thing about North Park Music Fest that makes it different from every other music event in San Diego: you're not standing in a field somewhere. You're walking through an actual neighborhood — ducking into your favorite bars, discovering bands in a church, grabbing tacos between sets, and running into people you know on the sidewalk. Year four of NPMF has a fresh twist. Instead of the closed-street festival format, this year it's a multi-venue music crawl — over 40 acts spread across 10+ venues along 30th Street and North Park Way. Your wristband is your access pass. Wander from stage to stage. Stay at the ones you love. The neighborhood is your festival.

🎸 Lineup Highlights

The headliners alone make this worth the $25:

Frankie and the Witch Fingers

LA psych-punk band known for absolutely unhinged live shows. If you're into Ty Segall, King Gizzard, or just loud guitar music that makes your hair stand up, this is the headliner you came for. They've opened for Cheap Trick and ZZ Top. Their energy is relentless.

Cut Chemist

DJ, producer, and turntablist legend. A founding member of Jurassic 5 and one half of Ozomatli. His sets are vinyl-digging journeys through funk, soul, hip-hop, and breaks.

Brainstory

Inland Empire trio blending psych-soul with jazz and R&B. Lush, groovy, and increasingly one of Southern California's most exciting live bands.

The Gaslamp Killer

San Diego/LA-based DJ and producer who helped build the Low End Theory scene. Heavy, beat-driven sets that range from psychedelic to thunderous.

Sugar Candy Mountain

Dreamy psych-pop from Sacramento. Think Brian Wilson filtered through a haze of California sunshine and reverb.

Plus 30+ more acts across genres — indie, funk, soul, garage, electronic, and everything in between. Full lineup on @northparkmusicfest on Instagram.

🎨 More Than Music: The Creator Fair (FREE)

Running alongside the Music Fest from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the corner of Ray Street and North Park Way, this open-air market brings together 40+ local zinesters, indie artists, small presses, and makers. Curated by Verbatim Books and Visual Gallery + Supply.

This is free, all ages, and no wristband required. Even if you don't buy a music fest ticket, the Creator Fair alone is worth the trip — it's the kind of scrappy, local-maker market that makes North Park feel like North Park.

💡 How to Do It Right

The early bird move: Show up at noon when doors open. The first sets tend to be smaller, more intimate acts — and the venues are emptiest. It's the best time to explore.

The headliner strategy: Frankie and the Witch Fingers and Cut Chemist will likely play evening slots at the larger venues (Queen Bee's or NP Community Park). Follow @northparkmusicfest for set time announcements.

The food plan: You don't need to eat festival food — you're in North Park. Walk to Tacos Perla, Tribute Pizza, The Taco Stand, or Lucha Libre between sets.

The drink plan: Each venue serves its own drinks (your wristband covers entry, not drinks). Bivouac for cider, Seven Grand for whiskey, True North for beers. Pace yourself — it's a long day.

What to wear: Comfortable shoes. You'll walk more than you expect. North Park is casual — nobody's dressing up.

🚗 Getting There

  • By car: Street parking in North Park is available but limited on event days. Arrive before noon for the best spots. Look along side streets east of 30th.
  • By rideshare: Drop-off anywhere near 30th & North Park Way. This is the easiest option if you're planning to drink.
  • By bus: MTS bus routes 2 and 10 serve North Park. The #2 runs from downtown through Hillcrest to North Park along Park Blvd and University Ave.
  • By bike: Bike racks are available throughout the neighborhood. North Park is flat and very bikeable from Hillcrest, University Heights, or South Park.
