Fiesta del Sol is Solana Beach's biggest annual event and one of the best free festivals in the entire San Diego region. Now in its 45th year, it draws over 30,000 visitors to Fletcher Cove Beach Park for two days of live music, food, art, and community celebration right on the beach in North County.
What makes Fiesta del Sol stand out from other free street fairs is the music quality. The lineup is curated by the legendary Belly Up Tavern — one of the most respected music venues in Southern California — which means you get genuine headliners like Los Lobos and The English Beat instead of the usual local cover bands.
The festival is completely free — no tickets, no wristbands for entry. It's a perfect way to kick off Memorial Day weekend or extend a San Diego weekend with a drive up the coast to North County.
